Stress is ubiquitous in our life. Many unforeseen factors, such as the pandemic, academic workload, and family dynamics, could pressure us.
What should we do if our emotions are out of expectations? Don't hesitate. Our Joint-U Mental Health Service Day will let you know that emotional disturbance is an inevitable part of everyone’s life, and it is not horrible to face emotions alone! The event offers you a valuable opportunity to enhance your awareness on mental health and enables you to meet new friends who share the same goals!
The event is divided into two parts. The first half is the Volunteer Services or Workshops organised by 9 University &College YMCAs units, respectively while the second half is the “Embracing Emotions” Carnival which allows everyone to relax and “Chill”. In the“Embracing Emotions” Carnival, you can experience many meaningful games, guest sharing, and enjoy busking performances!

Time: 10:00-17:30
Venue: Various Hong Kong districts (Volunteer Services or Workshops), Hong Kong Baptist University (“Embracing Emotions” Carnival)
Target: Members of University & College YMCAs aged 17-29 (Membership application is open all year round. CLICK HERE for the membership application.)
Service Target: Persons-in-Mental Recovery, Mentally-ill Persons, Elderly Living Alone, SEN Children & Their Parents, Young People who are Emotionally Disturbed, and Senior Secondary School students, etc.

10:00-13:00 Joint-U Volunteer Services or Workshops*: Participants could choose one to participate in. Themes include: Human Library, Yoga Experience, Campus Hunt, Alcohol Ink Painting Workshop, etc.
13:00-14:30 Lunch and transportation time (Self-arranged by participants)
14:30-17:30 "Embracing Emotions" Carnival: Room Escape Game/VR experience^, Busking Performance, Football Game, Guest Sharing, Mental Health Exhibition, etc.
*The hours of individual volunteer services or workshops held in the morning may vary; please pay attention to the registration confirmation email for details
^You may select either one to join, first-come, first-served.

$50 + $50 deposit* (*The deposit is refundable upon completion of the programme with satisfactory performance. )
