Aims:
1. To broaden students' horizons by offering interactive and thematic online activities during their "early" summer holidays during the pandemic
2. To help relieve the stress of parents through providing online activities for their children at home
Date & Time:
- Any date(s) from April 1 to April 24, 2022 (Applicants need to specify the preferred date(s) in the application)
- In the morning OR In the afternoon (around 1 to 1.5 hours per activity)
- One-off OR Series(Max of 3 activities per series)
Service Recipients:
- Primary 1 to 3 students OR Primary 4 to 6 students (Children/Youth members of YMCA)
- 8 to 12 students per activity
Format: ZOOM (zoom link will be provided)
Suggested themes of the activities include but are not limited to the below:
- Around the World in 90 mins
- Virtual Museum Tour
- Mathematics/English is Fun
- Environmental Protection & Sustainability
- Mental Wellness
Eligibility:
- Students/Alumni from tertiary institutions aged 18 to 30 (Applicants need to be members of University & College YMCAs. Membership application is open all-year-round. To apply for membership, pls click here.)
- Apply as an individual or as a team of 2 to 3 persons
How to apply:
- Applicants please fill in the online application form click here and submit a proposal click here of at least one A4 page.
- The successful applicant(s) will receive a confirmation email within 7 days upon online application and is/are required to attend at least 2 online preparation meetings (of not more than 3 hours in total) with staff from the University & College YMCA Department for activity preparation.
Application Deadline: March 20, 2022 (Early application is welcome for earlier matching with service recipients.)
Remarks: Volunteers will receive a certificate and a laptop case as souvenir upon successful completion of the programme.
